The Path

What I do with your details.

The Sleepy Millionaire LLC · 1 September 2026 · updated 28 October 2026

What I keep

Your first name and email, which you type in yourself, so I can save your progress and email you.

Which scenarios you opened, which path you picked, and whether you clicked through to the paid game.

Your screen size and device type, so the game fits it.

Roughly how long you play.

Your answers: which choice you picked in each scenario, whether it matched mine, and when, saved with your email so I can see how each player is doing.

How far into the game you got, as one number, so I can see which screen people stop on.

Whether my emails arrive and get opened, and which link you click.

What never leaves your device

When a scenario asks you to write an email in your own words, none of it is sent anywhere. It is checked in your browser and then it is gone. I never see it.

Your phone also keeps a copy of the game, its photos and your progress, so it opens fast and remembers you. That copy stays on your device and you can clear it by clearing your browser data.

Staying signed in (the paid game)

If you bought The Path, signing in leaves one cookie on that device, and a random id so the game knows it is the same browser. That id is generated by me and means nothing anywhere else. Nothing is read off your device and no fingerprint is taken. Once a day the game checks with Wix that your membership is still active, in the background. The cookie can stay on the device for up to a year, but it only works while that daily check passes.

To sign in you type the address on your membership and I email a six digit code to it, so knowing somebody’s address is never enough to open their game. The code is stored scrambled, never as itself, and is deleted the moment it is used or after ten minutes.

Your account works on four devices max.

What I don’t do

Who else sees it

Four companies, only so the game works, and none of them may use your details for their own purposes: Netlify runs the game, Supabase stores your progress in the United States, Wix holds your contact record and sends my emails, and Resend sends the code you sign in with.

I also count how often each answer is chosen across everybody. Those counts carry no name and no email.

How it is protected

Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Your progress is reachable only by my own server code, using a key held by Netlify, never from the page in your browser. The sign-in cookie is signed, so it cannot be altered or forged.

Emails

Giving me your address signs you up for occasional emails about getting paid to travel. Every one has an unsubscribe link, it works straight away, and unsubscribing doesn’t take the game away.

Age

This is for 16 and over. If you think a child has given me their details, tell me and I’ll delete them.

Your choices

Email info@thesleepymillionaire.com from the address you signed up with and ask for a correction or deletion. I keep your details while you have an account or a membership, so your progress is there when you come back, and I delete them whenever you ask.
